Tucson, AZ - Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) will be officially dedicating the new VA Northwest Tucson Clinic on Thursday, September 6, 2007.  The dedication for this new 10,000 square foot outpatient clinic will be taking place at 9:00 a.m., at 2945 W. Ina Road (SW corner of Ina and Shannon). 

An official ribbon cutting ceremony will be led by VA Southwest Health Care Network Director, Ms. Patricia McKlem, SAVAHCS Director, Mr. Jonathan H. Gardner, and invited guests.  A small reception and tours will be available after the ceremony.

This new clinic is the first urban clinic to be established in the Tucson area, which will make it easier for eligible veterans to receive their quality health care closer to their place of residence.  This new VA clinic provides comprehensive primary care, optometry, physical therapy, mental health, and laboratory.  Eligibility and enrollment services are also available.  Media interested in covering the event should contact Pepe' Mendoza at (520) 629-1819.
