Our veteran patients can enter the smoking cessation program by self referral or provider referral. Veterans have the option of coming to one of two weekly classes, one hour each in length.  Classes meet for four consecutive weeks.  During class, they are given the opportunity to meet with a provider who will prescribe medication or patches, if medically safe, to assist them with quitting smoking. Veterans who cannot attend classes can be seen individually also with their primary care provider or with smoking cessation provider who offers brief counseling and smoking cessation medication aids.
