SAVAHCS Concierge Mission Statement
 
In an effort to provide premier Veteran Centered services for patients and their families, SAVAHCS has developed a Veteran Patient Concierge Service with staff and volunteers dedicated to Veterans’ needs at the outpatient clinics and the inpatient’s bedside.
 
SAVAHCS is offering Concierge Services for hospitalized patients, as well as Veterans and their families waiting in the Emergency Department, and attending clinic appointments. Guests receive a warm reception, pleasant escort, and personal services to make their experience in our hospital comforting and memorable.
 
It is the mission of each Concierge to be warm, friendly, approachable and extremely courteous 100% of the time. Impeccable service is the trademark of a SAVAHCS Concierge.
 
Amenities are an important complimentary service offered to Veterans, family members and guests. Amenities include reading materials, audio books, children activity kits, puzzle books, and lap robes.
 
Nancy Richardson offering amenities to a VeteranConcierge Desks are located in Buildings 2, 57, 60, 80, and 90. All desks are open Monday - Friday between 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  The Concierge desk in the lobby of Building 2 is also open on Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
 
Concierge Carts visit inpatient wards and outpatient clinics Monday – Friday between 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
 
Emergency Department (ED) Concierge are stationed in the ED throughout the week, offering comfort and assistance to Veterans and their families waiting for medical treatment.

Surgical Clinic Concierge provide comfort and assistance to patients and their families waiting for medical treatment in the clinic waiting room.
 
Each Concierge volunteer is easily identified by their uniform, which includes a blazer and shirt with the SAVAHCS Concierge logo. A Concierge handbook has been developed as a guide, and each Concierge Desk volunteer is given computer network access so they may refer to the intranet and internet when assisting customers with locating resources.
