An important part of our mission at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) is to make sure you have the health information you need.  SAVAHCS offers a number of ways for you to learn how to live a healthy lifestyle and manage your health.

Patient Education Resource Center (PERC) &

My HealtheVet Center (MHVC)

In the PERC and MHVC, you will find the Patient Education Coordinator, My HealtheVet Coordinator, and volunteers. Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. Closed on all Federal holidays.

  • RN Health Coach to help you fine-tune your health care goals
  • Resources to help you decide what health choices are right for you
  • Information on health education classes
  • Tools to help you prepare for appointments with your health care team
  • Easy-to-read electronic health and wellness tools and a wide range of health videos available via the Veterans Health Library (www.veteranshealthlibrary.org)

My HealtheVet Center Services:

  • Computer workstations to access the My HealtheVet (MHV) website (www.myhealth.va.gov). NOTE: MHV is the VA’s online patient portal, with access to:
    • VA Prescription Refills and Tracking
    • VA Appointments List and Scheduling Tool
    • VA Progress Notes (from 1/1/2013 forward)
    • VA Pathology and EKG Reports
    • VA Radiology Reports and Images
    • VA Vitals and Readings
    • VA Immunizations
    • Secure Messaging, the VA’s online communication tool
  • Assistance with MHV registration, authentication, navigation, and login
  • Friendly volunteers to provide My HealtheVet-related assistance
  • Assistance with VA Mobile Apps (www.mobile.va.gov)
  • Assistance with the eBenefits website (www.ebenefits.va.gov)
