Tucson VA Campus to Close Ajo Gate due to Annual Rodeo Parade 2018

February 20, 2018

TUCSON, AZ – The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System’s (SAVAHCS) Tucson VA campus will be closing the Ajo Gate at approximately 8:00 a.m. Thursday February 22, 2018 due to the annual Tucson Rodeo parade traffic restrictions. The Ajo Gate will be reopened at the discretion of the Tucson Police Department following the parade.

We want to remind all Veterans, those visiting patients and VA staff, please allow extra time for your drive to the Tucson VA campus due to the closure of the Ajo Gate, and expect heavy traffic and road restrictions to the facility. All vehicles will be required to enter through the Sixth Avenue Gate at 3601 South 6th Ave until the Ajo Gate is reopened.

Please note, only individuals with official business at the Tucson VA campus will be allowed to park on VA property.

For media inquiries, please contact the SAVAHCS Public Affairs office at (520) 629-1819.
