Tucson VA in partnership with AZPM to host viewing of documentary

TUCSON, AZ –The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) in partnership with Arizona Public Media (AZPM) will show the documentary Arizona & the Vietnam War “Stories of Service” on March 29 at 2:30 p.m. in the R.E. Lindsey Auditorium located at 3601 South 6th Ave. Tucson, AZ 85723.

The film features stories of Vietnam Veterans from Arizona sharing their experiences during the Vietnam War. The documentary is approximately an hour long, and there are some graphic images of war in the documentary.

SAVAHCS Director, Mr. William Caron and Mr. Robert Lindberg, AZPM videographer will open the event with a few short words. Vietnam Veteran will receive a special lapel pin honoring them for their service. Following the showing of the film, there will be a meet and greet with VA and AZPM staff.

March 29 is recognized as National Vietnam Veteran War Veterans Day. It is a day to recognize the sacrifices made by Veterans and their families during the Vietnam War. It is also a day to honor the men and women who returned from Vietnam and didn’t receive a proper homecoming.

Light refreshments will be provided while supplies last.
