Tucson VA to Hold 7th Annual VA2K Walk and Roll

TUCSON, AZ – The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) Tucson VA campus will host the 7th Annual VA2K Walk and Roll Wednesday, May 17 with registration beginning at 6:30 a.m. The event will consist of a 1.2 mile walk around the Tucson VA and other activities to support homeless Veterans and promote healthy living.
Event registration will be at the R.E. Lindsey Jr. Auditorium between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., with open walking around a marked course from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items, toiletries and clothing items to donate to the homeless Veteran outreach program at the Tucson VA.
Also, the VA Northwest Tucson Clinic located at 2945 W. Ina Road, Tucson AZ will be hosting a VA2K Walk and Roll with registration starting at 7:00 a.m. For more information on the VA Northwest Tucson Clinic VA2K walk, please call (520) 219-2418.
The Yuma VA Clinic located at 3111 South 4th Ave., Yuma AZ will be hosting a VA2K Walk and Roll with registration starting at 7:00 a.m. for a 7:15 a.m. walk. Yuma VA Clinic is requesting donations of personal hygiene supplies for their community homeless program that supports the local Veterans. All the VA2K events are free and open to the public. The walk is national event celebrating National Employee Fitness Day.
