Caregiver Support Program

VA values the commitment of caregivers as partners in our pledge to care for those who have borne the battle and we have several support and service options designed with the caregivers in mind. This new program comes from Public Law 111-163, Caregivers and Veterans Omnibus Health Services Act of 2010. The programs are available both in and out of your home to help you care for the Veteran you love and for yourself. These services include: in home care, respite care, services to address mobility issues, education and training, information and referral and caregiver support services. Additionally, seriously injured post 9-11 Veterans may be eligible for a VA stipend per Public Law 111-163. The toll free number for the National Caregiver Support Line is 1-855-260-3274.
