Explore what matters to you and how various aspects of your life impact or are impacted by your health. Learn ways to overcome barriers and meet goals. Our Introduction to Whole Health and Pathway to Whole Health classes help you rediscover your Mission, Aspiration, and Purpose (or MAP) in a supportive group setting.
Introduction to Whole Health
This one-time, two-hour class gives an overview of the Circle of Health and helps you get started on your MAP journey.
Pathway to Whole Health
This in-depth, four-week series allows you to more deeply explore the eight components of health, developing a personal health plan to improve your life. This class is a 4-week series. Since the group interaction is a large part of the benefit of this class, participants must sign up for the full series. If a series has started, you would need to wait until the next series start. This is an on-going class, so the wait is not too long.
Health Partnering/Coaching
Our Health Coaches and Veteran Health Partners can help you fill out a Personal Health Inventory, they teach or oversee our many classes, and can provide one-on-one appointments either by phone, face-to-face, or via VA Video Connect (real-time video conferencing). They can also help you set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Action-oriented, Realistic, and Time-based) goals to help you reach your lifestyle behavior change goals. Our Partners are Veterans themselves who can perform the above duties. Our Health Coaches can help if you have more complex issues surrounding lifestyle behavior change.
Many health issues require lifestyle behavior change to manage. When you aren’t sure where to begin to make the changes you need to or want to, partnering or coaching can help you think through the options and determine a course of action that will work for you, please contact your PACT Team to learn more about working with a Coach or Partner.
To get an idea of what coaching/partnering is all about, these videos show two different Veterans’ experiences during the pilot phase of Whole Health. Although the Personal Health Inventory has changed slightly, the experiences of Veterans who go through this process is very similar. There are many videos on the Whole Health website if you’d like to learn more.

Garden Class
Learn the basics of container gardening. Topics covered include picking the best seeds to grow in your climate, getting them started, using the best soil, watering, and other useful tips and tricks to help your garden grow. During the class you will have a chance to grow seeds, plant them at the VA, and watch them thrive.

Sleep Solutions
This series consists of 4 one-hour classes to address barriers to sleep and discuss possible ways to improve quality of sleep. Sleep Solutions is a series of 4 classes.
