Nickola Rogers, MD - Nickola Lynn Rogers MD MPH is an Arizona native who attended medical school at the University of Arizona graduating in 1975. Many of her student rotations were at the Southern Arizona Veterans Affairs Hospital. Her straight Obstetrics and Gynecology residency was done at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix from 1975-1979. Private practice followed until 1995 when a Master’s Degree in Public Health and Administration was completed at University of Texas San Antonio branch. In 1995 Dr. Rogers returned to Tucson with an appointment at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in OB|GYN. This included rotating to SAVAHCS for a one half day clinic at first; growing to 2 days of clinic by 2002. At that time Dr. Rogers became part-time at SAVAHCS to be Director of OB|GYN and Surgical Quality Assurance – and is still here. Lifetime passions include: horses, natural history, classical music, and reading.
Lori Hudson, MD - Lori Hudson, M.D., FACOG, joined us full time in December of 2014, bringing with her twenty years of clinical experience as an ob/gyn and a passion for caring for fellow veterans. She was born in Washington, D.C., the first baby of the year in 1966! Her humble upbringing in rural DE led her to love the ocean and the outdoors and to later accept an Air Force Health Professions Scholarship to attend Harvard Medical School. In 1999 she left serving as medical director of the Dept. of Ob/Gyn at the United States Air Force Academy Hospital and entered private practice and teaching for the next 15 years. During that time she became a top notch surgeon, a mother of two, and an avid hiker. In 2013 and 2014 she was awarded as one of Tucson's Best Doctors. She teaches other providers in Arizona and surrounding states how to place long acting reversible contraceptives. She is equally passionate about bringing the newest, innovative gynecologic procedures and superior obstetric care to the VA. Whether you're trying to conceive your first child or entering menopause, she's able to guide you. Having experienced medical and fertility issues herself, she never loses track of what it feels like to be a patient.
